How are men supposed to give women safety when they have been trained for generations to create danger for one another?
Culture tells man to provide safety and, in the same breath, teaches him to compete, dominate, conquer and destroy other men.
That contradiction stands at the center of the narrative.
Man is to be strong for woman, fight for woman, defeat other men for woman, and then return home carrying peace.
But a man trained to fight another man does not develop safety.
He develops stress in the neck, tension in the jaw, danger waiting in the fists, and self-destruction spread through the body under the name of normality.
Whether he destroys himself while attacking others or destroys others while attacking himself, he loses the thing he was supposed to provide.
Safety.
The war remains in him, in the relationship, in the home and in society.
Locally it becomes tension.
Globally it becomes another place where threat erupts.
A peaceful world cannot be built by teaching men that another man is an obstacle, competitor or enemy.
Safety cannot be built from the body of a man trained for war.
A world of war does not deliver safety.
It only changes where the danger appears next.
